About NSGCG

Independent Consulting

Unlike studios, we don't have a vested interest in selling repairs. We provide unbiased evaluations, ensuring your needs — not a studio's sales agenda — dictate the specifications and decisions.

NSGCG provides several types of professional USPAP-compliant stained glass appraisals as well as simple valuations, depending on the needs of the client. These include insurance appraisals, estate and fair market value appraisals, damage and loss appraisals, and pre-purchase appraisals.

USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) is the generally recognized ethical and performance standards for the appraisal profession in the United States. NSGCG appraisals adhere to USPAP standards.

Yes. NSGCG serves clients nationwide. Karl Erickson travels throughout the United States to conduct on-site stained glass appraisals, inspections, and project oversight.

Contact NSGCG by phone at (507) 312-9370, by email at karl@nsgcg.com, or through the project inquiry form on our Contact page. We offer a free initial consultation to discuss your needs and provide a fee estimate.

Appraisals

Questions About Appraisals

An independent appraisal from a consultant who is not affiliated with any restoration studio provides an unbiased valuation. Studio-affiliated appraisers have a financial incentive to inflate values. An independent appraisal is also more credible to insurance companies, courts, and estate attorneys.

Appraisal fees vary based on the number of windows, complexity, travel requirements, and intended use of the appraisal. Contact NSGCG at (507) 312-9370 for a free consultation and fee estimate.
